Terms of service

The rules for the $500 job, optional hosting, and extra work. Effective 13 September 2026.

Who we are

Resite is a one-person studio. Contact: contact@getresite.com. These terms apply when you hire us to replace a WordPress site, or when you pay for hosting after launch.

The $500 job

Five hundred US dollars is the price to replace one simple informational site. We take content from the current WordPress site and put up a static site. We do not rebuild it in WordPress.

The $500 covers home, about or services, contact, and extra simple pages if they already exist. A Cal.com or Calendly embed is included if you already use one. We move DNS to Cloudflare. We need access to do that. You keep the domain.

Time is two days to a week after we have the URL and a go-ahead, depending on scope. You review a preview before anything goes live.

What is not in the $500

  • A shop, cart, payments, membership, or login
  • A large blog archive. That can be imported from WordPress for an extra fee. It needs a database.
  • Hosting and monthly hours. After launch, hosting plus one hour a month is $100. Time past that is billed hourly.
  • WordPress plugins, themes, or managed WordPress. Simple jobs those plugins did can be rebuilt as static for an extra fee.

What we need from you

The live WordPress URL, a sentence about what the site is for, and an email we can reply to. Access to move DNS to Cloudflare. Approval of the preview before we switch the domain.

You confirm you have the right to the copy, images, and domain. You stay the owner of the domain and the content.

Payment

The $500 is due before we start, unless we agree otherwise in email. Extra work is quoted first, then billed. The $100 monthly plan is optional and billed each month. You can cancel the monthly plan by email. Hosting then becomes your job.

After launch

The new site is static HTML. There is no WordPress admin. If you are on the $100 plan, that hour is for small edits and keeping the host healthy. Larger changes are extra, quoted first.

Limits

We do the work with care. We do not promise a specific ranking in search, a specific number of leads, or that a third-party tool will stay the same. Our liability for this job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes. The terms in force when you paid apply to that job.
