Resite / Replace a WordPress website
Replace a WordPress website. $500.
Same job as the homepage. We take an outdated WordPress website down and put a fast static site in its place. Not a new theme. Not a managed host. WordPress leaves.
Why replace a WordPress website instead of fixing it
An outdated WordPress site is usually slow because of plugins, a page builder, and a theme that has been patched for years. Updates fight each other. A security plugin is not a security model. The “your site was hacked” email is the product, not an accident.
If the site is a shop window, you do not need a CMS. You need a few pages that load and a way to email you. That is the job.
Resite does not rebuild the site in WordPress. We copy what is already there onto a static site, then the old install comes down. No admin login. No plugin list. No PHP on the server.
What replacing WordPress means here
- Home, about or services, contact, and extra pages if the current site already needs them
- Content taken from the current WordPress site
- A phone layout that works
- Contact by email, not a form that needs a backend
- A Cal.com or Calendly embed if you already use one
- DNS moved to Cloudflare. We need access. You keep the domain
- $500 flat to build. Not “starting at”
What this is not
- A WordPress redesign or a new theme
- WooCommerce, carts, or memberships
- A large blog archive in the $500 — that is a paid add-on
- Hosting and a monthly hour in the $500 — $100/mo after launch
- WordPress plugins or managed WordPress — some of that can be rebuilt as static, quoted extra
A shop is a different job. A large blog can be imported from WordPress for an extra fee. That part needs a database. After launch, hosting plus one hour a month is $100. Time past that is hourly. If a plugin or theme does a simple job, we can rebuild that job on the static site for an extra fee. It will not be WordPress. First 10 sites at $500.
How we replace the WordPress website
-
Send the URL
Email contact@getresite.com with the live WordPress URL and one sentence about the business.
-
We rebuild
We rebuild the static site from the current pages. You get a preview before anything goes live.
-
We handle DNS
You keep the domain. We move DNS to Cloudflare. We need access to do that. WordPress comes down. The new site answers on your domain.
FAQ
Do you rebuild it in WordPress?
No. Resite takes the WordPress site down and puts up a static site. The new site is HTML and CSS. Not another WordPress theme.
Where does the content come from?
From the current site. Pages, copy, and images that already exist. We do not invent a new brand for $500.
Can you migrate a shop, booking system, or a large blog?
Cal.com or Calendly can sit on the new site. A shop is a different job. A large blog can be imported from WordPress for an extra fee. That needs a database.
How long does it take?
Two days to a week after we have the URL and a go-ahead, depending on scope.
Do I keep the domain?
Yes. The domain stays in your account. We handle DNS on Cloudflare. We need access to do that.
Who does the work?
One person. Email only: contact@getresite.com.
Send the WordPress URL.
That is the brief. We will say if the site fits the $500 job.
